2012 Board of Directors
As established by the Articles of Incorporation, the Board of Directors consists of a maximum of twenty-one volunteers, one-third of which must be elected each year. The board meets once per month from October through September to review club operations, including finances, maintenance, and standing committee goals and objectives.
The President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer are officers of the board, also known as the executive committee.
Holly Pugh, President
Holly Pugh is a native of the Richmond area, and grew up in Lakeside. She was a member of Lakeside Swim and Racquet Club throughout her childhood and adolescence. She moved back to the Lakeside area in 2004, and re-joined LSRC in 2009. Holly is a Registered Nurse and is currently teaching nursing at Bon Secours Memorial School of Nursing. She spent the early part of her career working in critical care nursing, primarily in the cardiac surgery subspecialty. She later moved into more administrative roles at St. Mary’s Hospital serving as chair of the Nursing Coordinating Council, multiple Six Sigma process improvement projects, and unit manager, before transitioning to her current education role. In addition to pool time, Holly enjoys organic gardening and the study of herbs in her leisure time.

Kim Barnes, Secretary
Kim Barnes grew up in Accomack County on Virginia’s Eastern Shore where she learned to swim in the Chesapeake Bay. While she was in college at UVA, her family left the shore and moved to Richmond. Life and job opportunities have taken her from Fredericksburg to San Diego to San Francisco and back to Richmond. Kim, her partner Lynne, and their daughter Morgan have been members of LSRC since 2004.

Heidi Trala was born in Georgia, but being an “Army Brat”, she lived quite a few places before her parents settled in the “East End” of town, She works for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and has over 20 years of management and analytical experience. Her husband, Rich and their children, Hannah, Rachel, Nicholas, and Noah moved to the Lakeside area in 2004 and have been members of LSRC since 2005.
