Tennis at LSRC

Welcome to Lakeside! We have two newly resurfaced courts available to our members. One of the two main courts have pickleball lines painted onto the surface, allowing members to use the existing tennis net for matches. Paddles and ball will be available for checkout at the front desk, or bring your own for after-hours play. A tennis carrier and (with balls) is also available for checkout at the front desk.

You do not need to reserve court time outside league play. As always, the members' tennis group has exclusive reservations on both courts Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00pm – 8pm, and Saturdays 8am – 12 noon. New members welcome! We have a regular group of varying ages and skill levels who play doubles every week. Drop by and join us.

Dana Burkholder will return to LSRC to teach Summer '26 Youth Clinics. Dana is a former DIII All Conference player, has over 16 years of teaching experience, and is certified by the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR). See below for details on youth clinics and private lessons.

Our Tennis Instructor:
Dana Burkholder

- Dana is a tennis teaching professional with over 16 years of teaching experience and is certified by the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR).
- From Richmond, VA and played high school tennis at The Steward School.
- A former collegiate Division III All Conference player.
- Holds a degree in Professional Tennis Management from Methodist University and graduated in 2012.
- Former assistant tennis coach at Methodist University.
- Loves to work with all ages from beginners to advanced players

Youth Tennis Clinics - Summer 2026

We welcome kids ages 5-14 of ALL SKILL LEVELS to join our second Summer 2026 Tennis Clinics beginning in June and going into August. We offer two separate youth clinics, spanning four weeks each. Kids will learn the basics of forehands, backhands, serving, and volleying with our club coach Dana Burkholder. A minimum of 4 and maximum of 8 participants allowed for each clinic.
